First come prepared with your Maps of the City & county & Freeways & local streets. A good start is to visit a AAA office & get as much as possible including a tour book of SD or Southern California
Take a walk on the beach by the Coronado hotel & by all means stop in for a drink or bite for lunch. It is one of our famous land marks.
Our SD zoo is world famous & it is located in Balboa Park.Well worth spending a day there. If time permits go to the SD wild Animal Park in Escondido. But, you will need a rented car to get there.
If there are golfers in the group ,we have wonderful golf courses including the famous Torrey Pines North & South Coarses in Lajolla.
To see LaJolla is also a must with the coves & caves.
The gas Lamp quarter is the place to find great dining of many varities & it is in Downtown SD.
And oh yes we have a Sea World in San Diego with lots of great shows for the price of a entry. Go to www.seaworld.com & ck out the one for SD. Most likely you can find our San Diego Zoo on the web as well. Try www.SandiegoZoo.com. Near the Zoo in Balboa park we have nifty museums to see .

You can save a lot of hotel expense by buying the 2008 Entertainment Book for your area. Just go to www.entertainment.com & when you get the book look for those hotels with 50% off in San Diego & then phone them. The key there is to ask for the room rack rate & when they give it to you, identify yourself as a Entertainment memeber & walla you get 50% off.

Yes we have gone all over San Diego. Balboa Park area is our favorite with the museums & Zoo. Each Tuesday you can enter one museum for free. Try going to www.balboapark.com or do a google search for San Diego museums. We do have good museums. Old Town is very interesting as well as the Gas Lamp quarter. You can research all these areas through a Google Search.
