Hello. We're Kermit and Cheryl Fisher. We live in Modesto CA, which is about 75 miles south of Sacramento. We will be celebrating our 36th wedding anniversary on the cruise. We have 2 sons and 3 grandkids. Kermit retired from SBC (Pacific Bell) after 30 years and now contracts back to AT & T to train new employees. He says he has to keep working to pay for all our cruises! I retired in 1997 after 14 years with the county welfare department. This will be about our 12th cruise. We've done the Mexican Riveria, Panama Canal, the Western Caribbean and Alaska. In March we will be sailing the Princess Sapphire for 12 nights to New Zealand and Australia. We are staying 1 day prior to the cruise in Auckland and spending 3 extra days in Sydney after the cruise is over. My mom is also going with us. She and I have also done 2 "girls only" cruises, the last one to New England, Nova Scotia and New Brunswick. Aside from cruising, we have a 5th wheel trailer and we love to camp. I say camp instead of RVing because we tend to shy away from RV parks and stay in campgrounds where there's more room to spread out. We've been to Oregon, Washington, Nevada and Idaho. Our favorite trip was to Montana and Glacier National Park. Our dream trip would be to Alaska to see everything we missed on the cruise and land tour. I know that covers alot of ground, so we'd like to take at least 2 months to do it right. Besides RVing, Kermit enjoys being "Mr Fix It". His garage is his playground. We have lived in our house over 30 years and we've remodeled every room in the house, having done 90% of the work ourselves. The last job we completed was our kitchen and we're now working on the master bath. Of course this only gets worked on part time since he works part time for AT & T. As you may have noticed on the roll call, I'm the only one who posts. Kermit isn't into the writing, but he likes reading about everyone. We're looking forward to meeting everyone and making some new friends. See you in January! | |
