I’m Linda from Redding, CA (north of Sacramento). I am a Computer Applications Specialist for a family-owned manufacturing plant and handle most of their tech support. I have lived in Redding for over 30 years. My two grown sons live in the area as well.
This is my sixth cruise. I met Susan & Gene (MSGCurry, GCurry) and Sue & Rick (ricsue) on the CC roll call for the Grand Princess cruise in 2004. We have remained good friends and have had several reunions since then. I’ve traveled to Texas 3 or 4 times and we all met up in Vegas in 2005. I’ve spent my last 2 birthdays with my Texas friends, including my 50th. They have become my dearest friends! Gene and I pick on each other all the time, but deep down we really like each other (don’t tell him I said that, I don’t think he knows).
In 2005 I sailed on the Rhapsody of the Seas with Rick & Sue, and stayed with Gene & Susan for a couple of days before the cruise. On the CC roll call for that cruise I met Robin & Dirk (manymeadows). We ran into each other several times on the ship and we really hit it off!
So in December of 2006, we all booked the Grand Princess again. We chatted about that cruise on CC and ended up with a huge roll call with over 20,000 posts by the time we sailed! We all had dinner together every night, went dancing, and had some great shore excursions.
Now Gene, Susan, Dirk, Robin, and I are sailing together again, this time from my coast, and I’m really looking forward to it! We’re still hoping to talk Sue & Rick into joining us again. I’ve sailed on most of the major cruise lines except Carnival, and I’m excited to see how they compare.
