Dirk and Robin

“Family” probably best describes Dirk and Robin Meadows.  We have raised our seven children on 20 wooded acres north of Oklahoma City.  Dirk was born and raised in Oklahoma City and is an entrepreneur who has owned businesses, including everything from a restaurant to a window cleaning business and numerous things in between.  He has several rental properties and dabbles in the financial markets.   But most of all, he is happiest being around his kids and 6 grandkids.  Robin, a transplant from New Mexico, has home schooled all of our children and is in her 26th year of teaching (that’s a career, isn’t it?)  She spends her spare time (alone)  in the family vegetable/flower garden and orchard (for therapy).

We have been married for 32 years (July 12) and still enjoy each other’s company more than anyone else’s.  This year, 2007, on July 12 we will have our youngest daughter’s wedding!

This will be our 3rd cruise.  Our first was on Royal Caribbean’s Rhapsody  That is when we met Linda, Gene and Susan, Rick and Sue, Jodee, and Diane and Jerry.  Our second was in December, 2006 on the Grand Princess.  We met many other cruise critic members then.     I guess we now have a “cruise family”!  We’re looking forward to meeting many others on this cruise.
