The Fishnet and Fins Gang Story -
the truth, the whole truth and nothing but....
as told by K1

I fear the creation of the ‘Fishnet and Fins Gang’ started with an off comment by Tom on pg 5 of our cruise thread about hiding out from us in a dress. A page later, K1 made a comment about Tom wearing a red dress & heels in photo ID pix. From there it migrated into a party on Tom’s balcony, with him carrying all of our booze on for us. Needless to say, Tom in a perturbed state, replied “Next thing you know you'll want me to drive you all to the port in a limousine. When will it end....when will it end?” If he had only known!!!

Of course we girls thought that was just a GRAND idea, and started lining up all the places he needed to pick us up, and all the items we needed him to transport for us. Poor Dud!! By page 12, we had included his carrying all the snorkeling/dive gear, and taking care of all the excursions. 

Then more fateful words from the Dud – “Hey, I have an idea.......leave the mask & fin thingy’s in California, put on your drinking shoes and PARTY!!!!” And K1 quickly replied “Hey! How do you know those 'fin thingy’s' aren't my drinking shoes!!”  Then came the historic words from Linda ..... “Now I can't get the picture out of my head of everyone walking around the ship in their fins!” And in the spirit of group insanity – Stacy chimed in with “I don't own any fins but I might have to get some just to walk around with on the ship! I think we should take over the aft bar with fins and all one afternoon.”

And the Fin Party was born!!! And it continued to grow from there, with the following posts:

• “Actually I've been internet shopping for a pair of red fins for Tom ... to match his red dress!! You know those fins must coordinate with your outfit!!”

• “Red fins....red dress.....doesn't he need some red fishnets to go with that ensemble??”

• Of course Tom, being higher, your balcony will have the better view!! (Or the longer fall when you trip in your fishnets & fins!! But wearing those fins, you'll be able to swim after the ship!!)

• “I thought that along with the red fins and red fishnet stockings Tom should have a red feather wrap - wouldn't that be cool!”

• “Um...Holy Cow!!! That red stocking picture did something to me. I might just have to go out and buy some NOW. Why wait till the cruise?”

• “Now in most communities men in fishnets, fins, and feathers might inspire the citizens to call for the constabulary. In Galveston, however, nobody would notice, as we have more queens then Europe.”

And that was all by page 16 or so!!! By page 262, our SuperComputerGoddess had turned it all into our own special website – The Grand Cruisers – Fishnet & Fins Gang!!!
