Mike and Daphne Adams

We met at the Opryland in Nashville, where Daphne was working, 20 years ago. Daphne moved to Las Vegas to work with me at my mail order business. We were married on her birthday 18 ½ years ago at the famous Little White Chapel in Las Vegas. We don’t gamble but we sure had fun living there. We moved to Southlake TX 4/1/91. We renewed our vows at that Little White Chapel in 2003 on our 15th anniversary. Daphne still fit nicely in her unaltered original 15 yr old wedding dress. Daphne graduated from U.T. Arlington and became a CPA. We both retired in 1996. We have no kids but we do have a loveable, amusing 5 pound 2 ½ year old Papillon puppy named Bambi.

We spend a little time managing our own stock portfolio but we spend most of our time doing whatever we want to. Read, internet, movies & parties.  Mike stopped counting his number of cruises at 50.  Daphne has been on a few less cruises. This is our 23rd Princess cruise.  In the summer of 1997 we took a 2 month guided tour of Europe. On the morning Princess Diana died we were taking the boat back to England. That was a sad day for all.

We’d like to learn more ballroom dance and speaking Spanish. Mike enjoys working out and lift weights, and from 1997 to 2004 did the Plano Senior Olympics.  On the cruise Mike likes to play ping-pong, work out in the gym.

 Daphne was born and grew up in Nashville, Tn. Mike raised in Michigan, got his B.A. from C.S.U., Long Beach in 66, Army Vietnam 66-69,  MS Northern Arizona University, taught Marketing at University of Akron in Ohio, did not finish a PhD and Law degree, owned a McDonald’s restaurant in Santa Ana, CA, owned 4 real estate offices in the 70s & early 80s and in the late 80’s into the 90’s had a mail order business.  Our last cruise was in Sept’06 we went with my parents and Daphne’s grandmother on the Ecstasy. It was Daphne’s family’s first cruise and it was her Grandmother’s 80th B-day during the cruise.
