From Gcurry:
This is the outfit we used on our last "Grand" cruise. They hold up a sign where the tender docks that may say Ecotours, and have a little keosk there in the compound. It's about 1 hours drive out to the Mayan Mts., the last 6 miles is rough dirt road. A 20 min. walk through the jungle carrying your innertube, about a 20 min. drift through the caverns and drive back. Dec. is at the end of the rainy season so the river was running high and a lot of current which is fine as there are rocks under water.

I think everyone, the ship for sure, goes to the same place, Jaguar Paw resort. We had four of us and the guide in an air conditioned van, the ships tour was much more money and groups of thirty plus in buses.
We had a much easier time and better tour then they did.

From Diverearl:
We have already booked a dive in Belize with Ambergris Divers if any other divers are interested. We have a group pass to get off the ship on the first tender then we will be flying over to Ambergris Caye on Tropic Air and doing a two tank boat dive. With lunch, tip, and cabs on both ends the day will run a little less than $150.00, not to bad when you consider the ship charges 150 for their two tank dive. Everyone simply pays their own way nobody makes anything or gets a break we are just friends having a good time diving. If someone doesn't dive but would like to fly over and spend the day on the island the flight is only about 55 dollars round trip and will definitely be a highlight of any trip as the pilot keeps the plane at about 500 feet for the return to Belize City.
