Alan and Kathy

We are Kathy and Alan Constant living in the big city of Cedar Park, Texas.  Kathy started out life as a true blue Yankee; Alan was a city boy, born and raised on the lower east side of Manhattan.  Kathy met Alan when she visited friends in college in the little town of New Paltz, New York; at dinner with friends, their eyes met and, in an instant, they fell in love, a love that has lasted 32 years.  After a few years, Alan convinced her to move first to California, then Texas, where we have lived for 25 years now.  Alan, after some interesting years in the hotel and restaurant fields, is now Director of the Learning Center at the University of Texas Austin where he taught American History before starting his career in student affairs.  Kathy is a Region Coordinator for the banking division of Temple-Inland – the largest private landowner in Texas--and just celebrated 25 years with the company.  

We have raised one lovely daughter (a UT graduate!) who has flown the coop leaving us funds to go cruising again!!  This will be out 10th cruise together.  We got the cruise bug back in ’92 on a trip to Bermuda with the in-laws.  It took us a good 8 years to get going again, but we were cruising maniacs until in 2003 we detoured a bit and took up scuba diving.  Then we figured we could do both together!!  We will hit our 200th dive this summer and looking forward to diving a new port this trip - Roatan!!!  This will be out first cruise traveling with friends–-Mike and Kathy Sartor–-that we met on the boards and then in person on our Thanksgiving 2005 Galaxy Panama Canal Cruise.  Fate had us switching to their dining table, then we had an amazing time together zip lining with them & the CC group.  We ended up making great friends – so much that they decided to join us on this cruise!!
